Dinner at the haunted Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie TX
My birthday is in the middle of the week so several of us decided to go to one of my favorite restaurants. We went the the officially declared haunted Catfish Plantation! As always, the food was outstanding and the portions big enough to feed an army.
While we were there and I was being nosy I discovered two events that are planned at the restaurant. The first one is a Ghost Party in September. It will be hosted by Brandy Green, from Ghost Hunters International. Sounds like fun to me.
Then there is another event scheduled for October. This one is a ghost hunt with the Klinge brothers, Brad and Barry, from Extreme Paranormal. Sounds like a lot of fun to me. It looks like they will be there for two nights so everyone can get a chance at the ghost hunt.
If you live nearby this is a happening place to go during the week. There are happy hour drink specials Wed and Thurs. Then on Wed night you can get a free appetizer! Just don’t make the mistake I did a few weeks ago and drive over there on a Mon or Tues – they are closed.
I didn’t see or feel any activity on this trip. However, they did say a picture came of the wall in one of the rooms. My friend was hoping for a friendly pat from the friendly male entity. No luck there either.
There is always another time…..
Hill House Manor in Gainesville TX – ready for a paranormal investigation? Cedar Creek Paranormal Research Society is ready!
Here is a brief walk through of a location CCPRS will probably investigate in the near future. The owner has an interesting website for Hill House Manor that is worth a visit. They allow paranormal groups to conduct investigations for a donation and even offer investigations that individuals can join who are not part of a group. Linda Hill will be glad to answer your questions. She and the Manor can be found on Facebook.
Annual Haunted Paranormal Investigation
CCPRS is thinking about hosting an annual paranormal investigation. We are looking for input and location ideas.
Please leave comments and let us know if this is something you would be interested in and if you have any ideas for a location.
We would like to find a location within a 100 mile radius of Dallas.
We’ll be watching for your comments.

Paranormal Photograph of Child – Not in Room at the Time
A fellow paranormal investigator and I went to the residence of our next investigation to interview the owner. We had a fascinating discussion. Before we left the home, the owner brought out a photograph to show us. The she allowed us to take the photograph with us so it could be scanned and copies made. While most of the photo is underexposed and slightly blurry, there is no mistaking the child in the photograph. Now, the male child on the right in the photograph is present, but had a clean face. This was taken during Christmas and there were several family members present. However, the child with the most action and looking directly at the camera – was not there – for the photograph. No one in the family has ever known or seen this child. None of the people present saw the child in the room.Â
I am posting this photograph so that we may get comments from other investigators. I am a professional photographer and have been so since 1973. The photograph did not appear to be tampered with and was developed by a retail store. I am looking for plenty of discussion on the photo.Â
CCL Paranormal Society Meets at Haunted Catfish Plantation
Cedar Creek Lake Paranormal Society chose to hold their August meeting at the famous haunted Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie, TX. Wouldn’t you know that a wedding party of 30 decided to have their rehersal dinner on the same night. Only three of our members were present for the meeting. They were Martha, Brianna and Tamra. They missed having the other members present for discussion. The 25 minute wait turned into and hour long wait, but the food was worth it as was conversation with other diners. The Catfish Plantation has several large books brimming with stories from previous patrons about ghostly encounters in several areas inside the restaurant.

Wish the rest could have made the meeting
The Catfish Plantation is an old home turned into a restaurant many years ago where three spirits have been described to still hang around by other paranormal investigators. Catfish Plantation has even been shown on the Travel Channel series Extreme Restaurants.
